How To Update a Simpla Link

SimplaTask streamlines the payment links process, allowing you to update payment links efficiently. This comprehensive guide will walk you through updating a Simpla Link from start to finish.

Before You Start:

Before you begin, ensure the following requirements are met:

  • Permissions: You need Manager, Admin, or Owner-level access to create payment links.


Step 1: Initiate Simpla Link Updating Process.

Navigate to your accept payments section located on the left side of the main screen, display the menu and click the "simpla links" option located in the second position of the menu, below "Virtual Terminal". 



Step 2: The Simpla Links Dashboard.

The dashboard displays all your created payment links along with essential information for each one.  



The first three columns provide quick-access options to perform various actions on your payment links.  



Step 3: The Simpla Links options.

The circle with the X symbol reveals the expiration date details for that specific payment link.



Next, you'll find the Share button, which enables you to distribute your payment link across multiple supported channels. For a detailed walkthrough of this process, please refer to "How to Share a Payment Link." 



Finally, the three-dot menu button offers two key options when clicked: **Edit** or **Disable** the payment link. 



Step 4: Updating the Simpla Link.

Select the Edit option to enter the Payment Link and make changes.



When you click the Edit option, a screen will open and all the Payment Link data will be loaded with editable fields, so you can make all the necessary corrections.



When you finish updating all the data you need, click the Update Link button and the payment link will be saved with the new data.



The system will automatically return to the payment links panel, where you can verify the update made.



Step 5: Alternative way to update payment links.

Alternatively, you can update a payment link by clicking directly on its title. 



This will navigate you to a comprehensive detail panel where you can view all relevant information about that payment link. 



In the upper right corner, you'll notice a pencil icon button (located between "Active" and the share icon). Clicking this button takes you directly to the Edit Screen, where all current fields and information are pre-populated and ready for modification. 




When you finish updating all the data you need, click the Update Link button and the payment link will be saved with the new data.



The system will automatically return to the payment links panel, where you can verify the update made.



Process Complete!

You have successfully updating your Simpla Link. The payment link will be sent to the options you have selected and will be tracked in your SimplaTask dashboard.
